About 14 months ago i got busted for pbxes and all that shit blah blah blah snore... the cops and a fat English bastard from British Telecom took all my gear gibber gibber zzzzzzzzz and so on. Well, a few days ago they gave me it all back. They turned up on my doorstep and just gave it all back to me. They even carried it into the front room and laid it all out nicely on the floor. I signed a big thick book along with a wee tiny notebook thing and they buggered off. Hardly a word was said. Needless to say i was chuffed. I took a look at the gear... and fucking get this... the hard drives on my two machines hadnt been formatted (the BBS was still there, exactly the way it was when they snatched it) AND the 600 or so disks they returned didnt seem to have been looked at. All the warez are still on em! Thats the ultra-professional RUC for you. They must be dead busy with the new IRA threat and just couldnt be bothered. You'd think they would have been out catching Gerry Adams and his bastards instead of hassling me in the first place. BTW: Great Rory Bremner joke.. If Adams cant launch his book from the House of Commons he'll probably launch it from an unmarked car... :) hehehehee So, there i was thinking "i could get myself a nice surround sound telly if i can flog this lot" and just my luck the fucking PC hard drive packed in after a few hours and about 10 mins later the amiga power supply went belly up! There was no talk of any charges or owt, so it seems im in the clear.
